IRHA MINUTES

Authority to enact laws as authorized by this constitution or as necessary and proper to carry out the constitutional purposes of IRHA.
All actions shall require a majority vote with quorum present in order to pass, unless otherwise stated.
Create whatever standing, ad hoc, special and joint committees, as the members thereof deem necessary for the execution of the duties and responsibilities of its function. This will include standing committees such as the Programming Board.
Partition the residential areas into districts for the purpose of their representation. These partitions will also serve to define the areas of jurisdiction of each Residential Hall Association.
Consist of all RHA members of all residence halls. Executive Board members, Area Coordinators and the IRHA Advisor may attend when pertinent.

Assist and advise the President and Vice- President in carrying out the executive tasks of IRHA.
The President shall be the chairperson of the Executive Board with voting power only in case of a tie.
The President and Vice-President shall appoint students based on applications and qualifications.
Board consists of the President, Vice- President, Director of Programming, Chief Financial Officer, Director of Student Affairs, Executive Assistant, Director of Marketing, National Communications Coordinator, Director of Diversity Initiatives, Director of Community Outreach and a BRAG Representative.
Train all officers of IRHA and manage the execution of their duties.
Responsible for training their successors.

Gives students a voice for their communities
IRHA's Town Halls are an opportunity for all students to voice their questions, comments and concerns about their residential community.
IRHA Exec Board will facilitate discussions about on campus safety, facilities and events.
Collected information will be brought to appropriate personnel on campus to elicit any changes / improvements to our community.
Each member of a residential hall/area will contribute to the points a hall can earn.
