OUR MISSION
IRHA democratically represents the Office of Residence Life and the Fairfield University Administration. We collaborate with them in all their affairs to help foster the unification of the Fairfield University community through social interaction, promotion of the ideals of a Jesuit education, social justice, good citizenship, self determination and pride.
IRHA hosts a wide range of events that bring together all of the Residence Halls. Through events such as New England Day (an Autumn themed event) and Springfest, IRHA helps to build community between different residence halls on campus while enjoying the Quad in season. Other events include Minute to Win It, The Roommate games, and Fairfield’s Got Talent! Besides building community through events, IRHA hosts General Assemblies and Town Halls to gather feedback from RHAs and residents on campus about their living conditions. IRHA brings these concerns to faculty and administration at Fairfield University to improve the clean, safe, and respectful residence environment.

Be The Match
If you could offer hope to someone dying from cancer, would you?
Joining the Be The Match Registry® means volunteering to be listed as a potential blood stem cell donor, ready to save the life of any patient in need of a transplant.
You could be someone’s cure. You could literally save a life.

Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network
The Jesuit Universities Humanitarian Action Network (JUHAN) was launched in 2006 by Fairfield, Fordham and Georgetown Universities as a way to raise awareness on Jesuit campuses of the meaning of humanitarian response and its implications for the Jesuit ideology of “men and women for others,” as well as to jointly address the humanitarian needs of those who are suffering.

Connecticut Food Bank
Founded in 1982 in New Haven, Connecticut Food Bank partners with food retailers, growers, donors, and volunteers to source food and distribute it through a network of community-based programs, including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, residential programs, and day programs that serve adults and children, as well through our Mobile Pantry, GROW Truck and Child Hunger Impact Program (CHIP).

Relay For Life
The Relay For Life movement is American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser dedicated to helping communities attack cancer. From team members to volunteers, we all want to remember those we’ve lost, help those affected today, and give us a home team advantage against cancer. Through funds donated, time given, or awareness raised, our communities are teaming up to make a difference. When we rally together in the fight against cancer through this fun and inspirational event, we can accomplish anything.

No More
Silence and lack of knowledge about domestic violence and sexual assault play a large part in why they persist. Simply wanting to help is a huge step toward ending the shame and stigma that survivors are burdened with. Learn how to recognize DV/SA, what to do when you see it and how to stop it before it happens.

South Asian Student Association
The mission of SASA is to increase awareness and educate the Fairfield University community about South Asian cultures. The purpose of this association is to promote and celebrate the various aspects of South Asian culture through events, fundraisers, seminars, and other social activities. SASA is open to everyone who wants to know more about South Asia, its culture, and its people.
IRHA's Advocacy
Perhaps the most rewarding part of being a member of IRHA or RHA is the opportunity to voice the concerns and wants of the students to Fairfield University Administration.
Water Fountains
Working with Campion RHA, IRHA made water bottle fillers the campus standard.
Stag Card ID on the Stag Bus
After hearing student concerns at Townhalls, IRHA worked to pass this policy to ensure all persons boarding the Stag Bus showed their Stag ID card upon boarding.
Locks on Each Townhouse Room Door
Listening to concerns of upperclassmen, IRHA passed this policy to gain individual locks on all townhouse rooms.
